5 Star is a fictional movie review app where users can login to find out more about recent releases, read and post user reviews, reply to reviews, favourite reviews and favourite movie titles, with the functionality to link users to their nearest cinema chain to book tickets. The idea behind the app being to provide an outlet to read real reviews from movie goers rather than relying on movie crtics or promotions.
Problem Statement:
Movie enthusiast looking for an all-in-one movie app that fits easily into their busy lifestyle, where they can browse latest releases, watch trailers, book tickets, read reviews by the community and also post their own reviews.
The Solution:
An app that is supported on a range of devices and adapted to a web browser to fit any user environment. The app should be updated instantaneously with new releases and be tailored to the user’s tastes, to ensure continued use and to avoid any user frustration from continuous scrolling through irrelevant content. The user should be able to personalise their account, create a favourites list, view their previous reviews and update preferences. At no point should the user need to leave the app to complete the journey, all booking and trailers are handled/redirected directly from within the app. The overall design should be dynamic, sleek and modern, featuring familiar UI elements to allow for seamless flow and easy to use features.
